Flooring should be carpeted for the cosy atmosphere.A bright and good coloured lighting lifts the mood and helps depressed individuals feel better and reduce stress. You certainly want your customers to have the feel-good factor when they visit your clinic!Different kinds of lighting suit different sorts of settings. For instance, daylight mimics natural light and can be comfortably used anywhere. Cool White complements contemporary and modern decor as it casts a fresh, clear glow. It's brighter and more focused, making it a popular choice for use in bathrooms. Warm White is perfect for creating a cosy atmosphere.
- Waiting area vs diagnostic/treatment area
Do you have lots of walk-in customers, or do you persistently have clients which leave later than usual, resulting in more customers in the waiting area? This is precious real estate, and giving more to waiting area means having less for your business. You would know more than us in the average number of customers at waiting area vis-à-vis the numbers in the business area at any given time. Nonetheless, clinics need to have a certain waiting area space to project a certain image to visiting customers.

- Functionality and sophistication
Branding is important. Are you positioning yourself as a high-end or mid-end clinic? Depending on this, functionality will always be a must. A more sophisticated concept would go along with high-end branding and include items such as chandeliers, feature walls, elaborate lighting, water feature or even a pantry/rest area for customers. In addition, this also has an impact on your waiting area – if you have many sophisticated clients, you may also consider private waiting areas with facilities.
Lastly, simple furnishings like comfortable sofa or waiting chair is a must for your customers in queue. Coupled with a good environment, lighting and even facilities such as soft music playing while they take complimentary bites at the pantry, these will be major factors on whether your patients/customers would want to pay you a repeat visit the next time.
